LESSON CANCELATION POLICY
In the event a student must cancel a scheduled lesson and in order to be eligible for a make-up lesson, the studio must be notified either by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone/text at (979) 373-1009, twenty-four hours before the scheduled lesson date and time.
Lessons cancelled with less than twenty-four hours notice will be deemed as a NO-SHOW and are not eligible to be made-up at a later date.
In the case of illness, notice must be provided no later than 8:00am the day of a scheduled lesson time.
Students eligible for a make-up lesson may attend or schedule an alternative lesson time per the following criteria:
Students are only allowed two make-up lessons per semester.
There are no tuition refunds for missed or cancelled lessons. Cancelled or missed lessons can be or rescheduled or made-up as long as they are not deemed a NO SHOW as outlined in the lesson cancellation policy.
If a rescheduled lesson is missed or cancelled it cannot be rescheduled for any reason and the lesson will count towards to the two make-up lesson per semester limit.
Lessons cancelled by an instructor are automatically eligible for a make-up time and never count towards the two make-up lesson limit per semester. The two make-up lesson limit per semester is only applicable when the lesson is canceled by the student. In the event that an instructor cancels a lesson, the instructor will inform the student or the person responsible for the student's account that the lesson is eligible to be made up and rescheduled, however, the burden of providing options for times and days to schedule the said make-up lesson is on the student or person responsible for the student's account.
It is the student or person responsible for the student's account to correspond, request, and coordinate the scheduling of all make-up lessons with the instructor, regardless of whether or not the lesson was cancelled by the student or the instructor.
The instructor cannot and will not make contact with the student about the rescheduling of any cancelled lessons.
The instructor will make themselves available for an eligible make-up lesson provided the student makes the effort to provide options for times and days to make up the lesson.
If a student fails to correspond with the instructor about the re-scheduling of an eligible make-up lesson before the end of the semester the lesson was to have originally been administered, the student understands that the lesson is no longer eligible to be made-up or rescheduled.
Make- up lesson times are offered two Saturdays per semester.
From time-to-time, we may need to modify - temporarily or permanently - a student’s regular lesson time/date. If this becomes necessary, a mutually agreeable alternative lesson time/date will be found. Bayou City School of Music reserves the right to modify, change, or alter all students’ schedule if necessary.
All students shall be available to start their lessons at the designated date and time. Students arriving late will have their lesson shorted to allow the next lesson to begin on time. There are no refunds or credits for students arriving late.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE
Bayou City School of Music reserves the right to refuse service to any students. Bayou City School of Music reserves the right to teach all students based on its methods, procedures and policies.

In order to cancel an impending tuition draft, notification must be received before 12:00AM on the 11th to allow a full thirty days to pass. No exceptions will be made.
No refunds are given for remaining monthly tuition payments.
Recitals are a very important part of our studio as they allow students the opportunity to gain the invaluable experience of performing in public, in front of their family, friends, and strangers. BCSOM hosts one, annual recital per year occurring on the second Sunday of June. The BCSOM 2019 recital will be held June 2nd in the small chapel, at Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston.
